Taylor Robert Claims WORCS Round 1 Victory

Mesquite, NV – TLD’s Off Road Arsenal had a solid showing at the Rocky Mountain MC World Off-Road Championship Series season opener at Mesquite MX, with Taylor Robert leading the way. After stepping away from the WORCS series last year to pursue overseas racing, Taylor Robert seemed to not miss a beat in his round 1 return. From the start Taylor placed himself in the top 3 slots. After jockeying for position, Taylor quickly came out on top and began to pull away from the field. He went on to cross the checkered flag nearly 3 minutes before his closest competitor. The Mesquite track proved to be a difficult test for competitors. Mesquite MX is known around the circuit as one of the most rugged rounds in the series for its unfamiliar mixture of deep sand and motocross track features that get rougher as the day goes on. “I’m really excited to be back at the WORCS races, especially this race,” added Robert about his performance. “It always seems that the rougher it gets, the better I do. I was just anxious to get out there. I didn’t have a good start, but after I took the lead on the first lap, I just rode my own race.” Notably, TLD off road amateurs Logan Chambers and Clay Hengeveld ended their day on the top step as well. Chambers fought his way to a well deserved win in both the Pro 2 and 450 A classes, while Hengeveld snagged the 250 A win. Taylor sported the SE Corsa Turquoise kit with the SE4 Helmet.
