DETROIT (March 25, 2017) Ð Troy Lee Designs rider Cole Seely collected yet another top-10 finish as the Factory Honda racer finished 10th inside a packed house at Ford Field for the 12th round of the series.
Seely started off his night in the best way possible with a top start and win in the first 450SX heat race. His speed in the qualifying race earned him first gate pick for the 24-lap main event. As the pack entered the first turn, Seely got caught up in a pileup and was forced to work his way through the pack. After charging hard throughout he was able to make his way up to 10th at the checkered flag.
ÒTonight was a tough night,Ó said Seely. ÒThings were going really well and I was feeling good after my heat race win. Unfortunately, I just got caught up in the first turn and had to come from behind, but weÕre focused on moving forward and looking ahead to the next round in St. Louis.Ó
Seely maintained his position inside the top-5 in the championship point standings where he sits comfortably in fourth, 26 points ahead of fifth.
The Monster Energy Supercross takes a trip to The Dome at AmericaÕs Center in St. Louis next weekend for the 13th round of the season.
Seely stood out in practice in his
SE Corsa Yellow gear and the switched it up to the
GP 50/50 Red gear for the main event. He also wore the
SE4 helmet. See more of the
